RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Radiologic Technologist Lead for night shift at RWJ New Brunswick. The role focuses on producing specialized radiographic images for medical interpretation while ensuring radiation safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide radiographic images and operate fluoroscopic equipment as instructed.
• Minimize radiation exposure while maintaining image quality.
• Ensure patient comfort during procedures.
• Prepare and select contrast media for examinations as needed.
• Process radiographic images for PACS submission.
• Identify patients and indicate correct body part on images.
• Assist in student technologist instruction and demonstrations.

Pay Range: $50.93 - $61.65 per hour

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview: To provide a specialized image of a body part for purposes of medical interpretation.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology required.
• NJ radiology license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Preferred: Minimum of two (2) years of radiology technician experience strongly preferred.

Essential Functions

• Providing radiographic images or positioning fluoroscopic equipment, as instructed.
• Minimization of radiation exposure.
• Ensuring patient comfort.
• Selection and preparation of any contrast media used in conjunction with radiographic examinations as well as special examinations.
• Processing radiographic images going to PACS.
• Patient identification and indication of correct body part on all radiographic images.
• Processing x-ray requests.
• Assists in instruction of student technologists.
• Is able to demonstrate the technical art to student radiographers.
