Ochsner Health seeks a radiologic technologist to assess patients and perform routine radiographic procedures safely per safety protocols. The role includes mentorship of junior staff and students within a compassionate, inclusive team.

Requires ARRT certification or registry eligibility, a state license, and BLS. Willingness to travel between facilities and work a flexible schedule is expected.

Formación

• Completion of approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification or registry eligible, registered within 90 days and temporary state license required.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to travel between facilities and work a flexible schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol.
• Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality.
• Performs quality control procedures and remediation as warranted.
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapts communication to patient population and privacy considerations.
