Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Radiology Imaging Technologist to join our team in Georgia. You will perform imaging exams, ensure patient safety, and maintain high technical standards under the modality manager.

The role emphasizes ALARA principles, patient-centered care, and strict adherence to infection control. Requirements include Accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R, BLS, and at least 1 year of radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate appropriate modality imaging equipment based on department.
• Ability to communicate verbally and written.
• Possess excellent patient/customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in modality imaging and follows ALARA to minimize exposure.
• Performs imaging exams consistent with assigned modality in various settings.
• Evaluates images for technical quality and records patient identification.
• Provides optimal patient care and supports Patient Family Centered care.
• Applies patient safety principles and handles emergencies appropriately.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and hand-washing policies.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies and code of conduct.
