Job summary

Wellstar is hiring for a radiology imaging role in Georgia where you will perform modality-specific exams and ensure patient safety. You will apply ALARA principles, deliver compassionate patient care, and assist the Radiologist with procedures in a collaborative team environment.

Candidates should have an Accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT (R) certification with BLS qualifications. Prior radiology experience is preferred and a strong commitment to safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduates must have completed an Accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certifications required upon hire: ARRT-R and BLS (Instructor or BLS).
• For Diagnostic, CT, IR, Mammo: ARRT (R); MRI: ARRT (R) or ARMRIT; Nuclear Medicine: CNMT or ARRT (N).
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in modality imaging while following department protocol and ALARA to minimize exposure.
• Performs imaging exams consistent with assigned modality across settings; evaluates image quality and records patient data.
• Provides optimal patient care and supports Patient Family Centered care throughout procedures.
• Applies patient safety principles and responds appropriately to emergencies.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and hand hygiene policies.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and protocols and supports team needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned; complies with Wellstar Health System policies.
