Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability) and travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Operates imaging equipment to complete procedures per protocol (may include NG tubes, IVs, catheters, contrast).
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
• Performs quality control and remediation as needed.
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, staffing, maintenance).
