The Coastal Health District of the Georgia Department of Public Health in Savannah seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic equipment and produce diagnostic images. You will ensure safety, verify orders, and document procedures in the EMR to support accurate patient care.

Under general supervision, you will position patients, set exposure parameters, monitor equipment, and uphold radiation safety standards while assisting with clerical duties and community-based DOT activities as

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in radiologic technology and ARRT certification required.
• Two years of related experience; or one year at Radiologist 1 (HCT070) or equivalent.
• Must meet state requirements and licensing as applicable.

Responsabilités

• Under general supervision, operates radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Ensures orders, consents, and disclosures are signed prior to imaging.
• Develops images and verifies clarity before transmission or copying.
• Determines and sets proper exposure parameters for procedures.
• Explains procedures and monitors patient safety and comfort during scans.
• Enters exam data into the EMR and documents scan sequences.
• Monitors equipment operation and arranges for repairs as needed.
• Maintains radiation safety measures to comply with regulations.
• Notifies nurses and physicians when imaging reports are ready for review.
• Performs clerical duties and supports Directly Observed Therapy (DOT) in clinic or community settings.
