Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist certificates (Venipuncture, Fluoroscopy) and BLS required.
• CA Mammography certificate when required; ability to perform general radiologic duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Adjust immobilization devices for optimum views.
• Determine exposure factors based on patient factors.
• Operate imaging equipment and fluoroscopy in OR/ER/bedside as needed.
• Ensure image quality and proper identification in radiology reports.
• Maintain equipment and perform basic repairs as needed.
• Follow radiation protection practices to minimize exposure.
