Organization: Sutter Gould Medical Foundation

Position Overview: Performs routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images for physicians and healthcare providers, aiding in diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to ensure safe, precise procedures and accurate results in a timely manner. Builds confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and healthcare teams through competent assessment, monitoring, and communication. Complies with all applicable regulations and policies to ensure privacy and safety while delivering patient care. May perform specific procedures and assist in orienting staff to the department.

Job Description:

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program

Certification & Licensure:

  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) and evidence of application for CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) — may not work until CRT is verified
  • OR CRT (from the state where work is performed)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification upon hire
  • RHF (Radiology Fluoroscopy) certification within 180 days if required at the affiliate

Typical Experience:

  • At least 2 years of recent relevant experience

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles, procedures, views, and equipment, including response to traumas and emergencies
  • Ability to perform routine radiographic exams with a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Strong communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with computer applications (Microsoft Office, RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, PACS)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks amid interruptions
  • Problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve standard issues
  • Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality of PHI
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with healthcare team members
