Overview:

The MRI Staff Technologist operates a magnetic resonance scanner under supervision to obtain diagnostic images, selecting appropriate techniques, operating hardware, and managing patient data and images.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technologist Program with clinical hours completed.
  • Experience: Relevant experience deemed adequate for the role.
  • Licensure/Certifications: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry, or advanced registry eligible (achieve within 18 months); BLS certification.
  • Skills & Knowledge: IV insertion, medical scanning techniques, cross-sectional anatomy, 3-D imaging.

Working Conditions:

  • Manipulating equipment, lifting, and transporting patients.
  • Standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Adapting to stressful situations.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred Licensure: ARRT or ARMRIT, with at least one advanced MRI registry.
