Job Summary

Provides diagnostic quality radiologic imaging under the supervision of a Physician, adhering to radiation safety standards. Delivers high-quality patient care and customer service in a hospital setting supporting emergency, inpatient, outpatient, trauma, and ICU patients.

Job Duties
  • Produces diagnostic-quality images, processes, and prepares images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Ensures radiation protection standards are met, using appropriate exposure factors, collimation, and safety practices.
  • Verifies correct patient information and attaches images to the proper patient records.
  • Maintains supplies and equipment to meet patient care needs.
  • Documents procedure details and patient information accurately.
  • Coordinates workflow within the team and manages exam timing.
  • Confirms images have been transferred to PACS before completing the study.
  • Ensures physician orders are complete and accurate, obtaining missing information as needed.
  • Reports equipment issues and assists with repairs and maintenance.
  • Participates in training and mentoring new staff and students.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Technical School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited Radiography program.
  • Less than 1 year of radiologic training or experience.
  • Ability to handle confidential medical information ethically.
  • Problem-solving skills and understanding of radiation safety.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and technology.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification (AHA) and RT registration in Pennsylvania.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or higher in Health Science or related field.
Physical Demands

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., frequent sitting/standing, keyboard use, and performing activities such as kneeling, bending, squatting, and CPR as required.
