Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with mammography experience to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in a comprehensive imaging department. The role requires adherence to ACR and Joint Commission standards and reliable operation of radiology systems.

Responsibilities include quality control, accurate study documentation, patient history collection, and coordination with clinical staff. Mammography certification is preferred and ARRT credentials enhance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Mammography certification within two years of hire when applicable.
• Bone Dosimetry certification when applicable.
• State Licensure on Radiation Protection as required.
• CPR Certification.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Yearly PEEPS certification for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.
• ARRT registered.
• ARRT Mammography Registered when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiographic equipment per department policy and guidelines.
• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures and quality control.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (ACR, Joint Commission).
• Records patient study information accurately in care systems.
• Coordinates workflow and patient care activities; obtains clinical history and consent.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and uses 3 identifiers.
• Mentors students and new staff in procedures and safety.
• Assists in coordination with imaging department and other units to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Continuously participates in performance improvement data collection and departmental meetings.
