Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures and ensure high-quality imaging per department guidelines. You will support workflow, protect patient privacy, and mentor students while collaborating with clinicians and the imaging team.

The position requires ARRT registration, Delaware licensure if applicable, and CPR certification. A two-year radiologic technology program is required, with mammography certification within two years of hire where

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year accredited program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Mammography Certification when applicable (achieved within two years of hire).
• Bone Dosimetry certification when applicable.
• State Licensure on Radiation Protection as required.
• CPR Certification is required.
• An associate’s degree is preferred for this position.
• Yearly PEEPS certification for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in radiographic equipment, radiology systems, and CD burners.
• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures and quality control per department guidelines.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (ACR, Joint Commission).
• Enter accurate patient study information into care systems.
• Assist with workflow coordination and patient care activities.
• Obtain clinical history and consent for examinations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and use three identifiers at all times.
• Mentor students and new staff in procedures, QC, and radiation safety.
• Collaborate with imaging, nursing, clinicians, and others to ensure patient satisfaction and safety.
• Assess patient status changes and participate in Performance Improvement data collection.
• Attend departmental meetings and in-services; adhere to safety rules.
