Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, ensure quality control, and maintain compliance with licensing regulations. The role includes documenting patient data, supporting workflow, and collaborating with clinicians to ensure excellent patient care.

The candidate should hold a two-year radiologic technology program, Delaware licensure, and ARRT Mammography or related certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year accredited program in Radiologic Technology is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures and quality control as defined by department guidelines.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses.
• Enter accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.
• Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities.
• Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination and obtain appropriate consent.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Actively assists in the learning process of students and new staff in departmental procedures, quality control and radiation safety.
• Demonstrates problem solving skills, acts as liaison OP Imaging department, clinicians, nursing, and ancillary departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Participates in collecting data for Performance Improvement surveys.
• Attends departmental meetings and in-services as required.
• Maintains required credentials for CPR, critical skills, and mandatory in-service education.
• Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations.
