As Santa Cruz County’s heart attack (STEMI) receiving center, Dominican provides cutting-edge cardiac care with treatment times that beat the national average, and offers two cardiac catheterization labs available 24/7. We perform groundbreaking procedures like TAVR, enabling heart valve replacements without open-heart surgery.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Radiologic Technologist I, under the general direction of a radiologist and Radiology Administration, performs a variety of radiographic, fluoroscopic, emergency, and specialized procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, providing radiology services to all ages.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion of radiologic technology training in an ARRT-approved school
  • Completion of California State Certification (C.R.T.)
  • Current ARRT certification
  • California State Fluoroscopy permit (FLURO)
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • Skills in Diagnostic Radiology, Surgery (C-arm), and Fluoroscopy procedures
  • Must meet all Radiologic Technology I competencies
  • Understanding of sterile techniques
  • Ability to follow protocols and develop relationships with patients, physicians, and coworkers
  • Ability to identify concerns and take accurate images
  • Ability to recognize emergent situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences
  • One to two years’ experience as a radiologic technologist
Pay Range

$57.44 - $64.65 /hour
