MUHA in South Carolina is seeking a student radiology technologist to assist with X-ray imaging and related clerical duties, under supervision. You will help with imaging exams and ensure high-quality patient care.
Education must be from an accredited radiologic technology program; ARRT registration within 6 months of hire is required, SC RQS licensure is required, and a current BLS is necessary; ACLS is preferred. This is an employee role with a 40-hour work week.
Student radiology technologists will aid with imaging exams. Will assist with diagnostic exams, performs clerical duties including record keeping, and maintains high quality services. Communicates effectively with patients/families and all care providers. Should be actively enrolled in an accredited Radiology program.

Perform medical exams using X-rays on patients to create images of specific parts of the body. The images are then interpreted by a doctor for diagnosis and monitoring of disease.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: Zero to two years of modality specific work experience. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
