Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a student radiology technologist to assist with imaging exams and clerical duties while actively enrolled in an accredited Radiology program.

The role requires graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT registration within 6 months of hire, SC licensure, and current BLS certification. ACLS preferred; 40-hour work week; hourly pay.

Qualifications

Job Description

Perform medical exams using X-rays on patients to create images of specific parts of the body. The images are then interpreted by a doctor for diagnosis and monitoring of disease.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: Zero to two years of modality specific work experience. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
