Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Clara Maass Medical Center seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging, explain procedures to patients, and uphold radiation safety and regulatory standards in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

You will partner with radiologists and care teams, maintain equipment, document exams in EMR, pursue ongoing professional development, and contribute to a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Hold a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• Hold an active New Jersey Radiologic Technologist license (NJDEP).
• Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures following established protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging exams by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Position patients accurately and operate radiologic equipment to obtain optimal images while minimizing exposure.
• Apply radiation safety principles and comply with regulatory standards.
• Review images for quality and communicate findings with radiologists and providers.
• Document imaging procedures and patient information in EMR/imaging systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team to coordinate care and workflow.
• Maintain imaging equipment and supplies; report equipment concerns.
• Pursue ongoing professional development in continuing education and advanced imaging.
