Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Special Procedure Technologist at Jersey City Medical Center to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will support radiologists with specialized exams, manage RIS/PACS workflows, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, precision, and continuous professional growth within a supportive Radiology-Diagnostic department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Hold a current ARRT certification.
• Hold an active New Jersey Radiologic Technologist license (NJDEP).
• Maintains BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist Radiologist with special examinations.
• Demonstrate competency with RIS and PACS.
• Demonstrate competency in the use and sequencing of the power injection.
• Maintain adequate stock levels in all procedure rooms.
• Maintain clean examination rooms and work environment in all areas.
• Perform a variety of duties for completion of special procedure examinations.
• Report equipment problems to supervisor and enter LT work order as appropriate.
• Use RadCode for interventional billing related to the section modality specific procedures.
• Apply radiation protection principles for self and patients.
• Use proper positioning and factors to assure diagnostic quality images.
• Enter patient information in RIS Mammography Module.
