Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking Radiologic Technologists to operate radiologic equipment and perform a range of imaging procedures for diagnostic purposes at Emory Hillandale. The role requires patient positioning, safety measures, and effective communication with patients and the health care team.

Candidates should have graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, be ARRT registered, and possess at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT registration required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Performs routine, portable, operating room or fluoroscope exams.
  • Performs complex radiographic procedures and provides guidance to lower level Radiologic Technologists and students.
  • Positions patient, adjusts equipment to produce high quality x-rays, and explains procedures to the patient.
  • Takes precautions to minimize staff and patient exposure to radiation.
  • Assists in training radiology staff and students.
  • Completes all aspects of patient care documentation following established procedures.
  • Completes procedures in Radiology Information System to ensure billing of exams/procedure.
