Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• BLS Certification as required by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) for diagnostic purposes.
• Perform routine, portable, operating room or fluoroscopy exams.
• Assist in training radiology staff and students.
• Maintain safety and minimize staff/patient radiation exposure.
• Document patient care in Radiology Information System and billing procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for radiologic procedures.
• Ensure proper exposure factors and high-quality images.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and health care team.
