Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform pediatric diagnostic imaging, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT registry status.

You will work 32 hours per week with 6- and 8-hour evening shifts and a rotating weekend schedule every 4th weekend. Ohio licensure and CPR certification are required; pediatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology.
• Active ARRT registry status required and Ohio radiologic license.
• CPR certification required.
• One year of clinical radiology experience; pediatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pediatric patients for radiologic procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate radiologic equipment to capture pediatric images.
• Review images for quality and diagnostic usefulness.
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Essential Functions

• Prepares pediatric patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Operates radiologic equipment to capture images of pediatric patients' internal organs and structures.
• Reviews images to ensure they meet quality standards and are suitable for diagnostic purposes.
• Maintains accurate patient records and ensures patient confidentiality.
• Collaborates other healthcare professionals to coordinate proper patient care.
• Maintains and updates knowledge of radiologic technology and safety procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Education Requirement

Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology, required.

Licensure Requirement

• Active Status with the Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, required.
• Valid “R” category Ohio Radiological License, required.

Certifications

CPR certification, required.

Skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience

• One year of clinical experience in the Radiological Sciences, required.
• Experience in pediatric setting, preferred.
