Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.
This job is ON - SITE.
This position is eligible for a $20K 3rd shift sign-on bonus!
FTE: 0.875
Shift: Shift 3
3rd shift 7/70 position. 7 day on, 7 days off.
Hours are currently 9pm-7am Mon-Sun.
Holidays on scheduled week must be worked.

· Fast-Paced Environment: this is a level one trauma center so we work with critical patients, time-sensitive situations, requiring X-ray techs to work quickly and efficiently to obtain high-quality images for immediate diagnosis.
· Variety of Cases: Techs encounter a wide range of injuries, from fractures to life-threatening trauma, offering a diverse and constantly evolving set of challenges.
· Collaboration with Medical Teams: Close teamwork with ER doctors, trauma surgeons, and other healthcare professionals is essential to quickly assess and provide the necessary imaging for treatment planning.
· Exposure to Advanced Imaging Techniques: X-ray techs in trauma centers often work with specialized imaging equipment and may be involved in real-time imaging for procedures like surgeries or emergency interventions.
· Diverse Adult Patient Population: The trauma center serves patients of all ages and backgrounds, requiring flexibility and adaptability in imaging protocols and patient care.
· On-the-Job Learning: Given the urgency and complexity of trauma cases, techs often gain hands-on experience with uncommon or challenging cases, expanding their skill set rapidly.
Job Summary:
At the direction of a radiologist or other providers, prepares patients and performs radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology and operates imaging equipment. Performs diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols while utilizing appropriate radiation protection measures. Adheres to organizational customer service standards and supports the organizational excellence initiatives. Provides positive and effective interaction and communication with patients, visitors, and staff. Performs ancillary services and assists in patient care areas as necessary. Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
One year of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology is preferred.
Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.
Post high school completion of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
An additional 1-2 years of college/university coursework and/or an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field is preferred but not required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Self-motivated; ability to organize and prioritize well; ability to remain flexible and to reorganize priorities when emergencies arise.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology and current State of WI license as a Radiographer is required.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
