Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience is preferred but not required.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography) and BLS.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust technique to maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety during the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain/restock crash cart and life-support equipment.
• Organize daily workflow to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow.
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks.
