Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Experience preferred, not required.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography); BLS certification.

Responsabilités

• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and competently, maintaining diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection-control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and post-care using AIDET; reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol; use venipuncture when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed; finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition; respond to emergencies; restock/maintain life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timelines; collaborate with other modalities to support department flow.
