Job summary

Texas Health Rockwall is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join a collaborative imaging team. You will explain procedures, position patients, perform complex imaging under radiologist supervision, and assist with invasive procedures using aseptic technique.

The position requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certification, and GMRT license, with BCLS and clinical skills in communication, venipuncture, and computer use emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology required upon hire or Associate Degree preferred
• One year of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred
• GMRT license required upon hire
• ARRT certification required upon hire
• BCLS certification required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures to patient or guardian prior to exam and positions patient to the correct anatomical area
• Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality and adjusts technique as needed
• Prepares room for examination and checks orders using time-out procedures
• Administers contrast media and other medications per guidelines; communicates with co-workers
• Demonstrates knowledge of quality control and regulatory standards
