Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is expanding its Emergency Department and is hiring additional radiology staff to join the North Pavilion team. The Radiologic Technologist will perform radiologic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and Imaging Manager, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis with independent judgment.

Opportunities may include interim supervisory or instructional duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Radiography program accredited by ARRRT mechanism accepted by ARRT.
• Currently registered as a Registered Technologist (R.T.(ARRT)) or registered within one year from date of hire for a new graduate.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and Imaging Manager.
• Work with ionizing radiation to produce radiologic images for diagnosis.
• May assume interim supervisor or instructor duties as assigned.
