Job summary

UAB Medicine is expanding its Emergency Department and seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiologic procedures at the North Pavilion location under the supervision of a Radiologist and Imaging Manager.

The ideal candidate is ARRT‑registered (or eligible within one year) after graduation from an accredited Radiography program; role involves independent judgment in imaging, operating equipment, and contributing to patient care during 7 a.m.–7 p.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Radiography program accredited by ARRT.
• Currently registered as an RT (ARRT) or registered within 1 year from date of hire.
• If certification is not obtained within 1 year, an additional period up to 180 days may be allowed.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic procedures at the North Pavilion location under supervision of a Radiologist and Imaging Manager.
• Operate imaging equipment with appropriate judgment to aid radiologic diagnosis.
• May assume interim supervisory or instructional duties as required.
