Job summary

UAB Medicine is expanding its Emergency Department and seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiologic procedures at the North Pavilion location under the guidance of a Radiologist and the Imaging Manager. You will work with a high-volume ED team, applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnosis with independence and clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Radiography program accredited by ARRT.
• Currently registered as an RT (ARRT) or eligible within 12 months of hire.
• If certification is not obtained within one year, an additional period up to 180 days may be allowed.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiologic procedures at the North Pavilion location under the direction of a Radiologist and the Imaging Manager.
• Operate at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• May assume duties as interim supervisor or instructor.
