Job summary

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and radiation safety.
• Ability to read/write English and follow department protocols.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and assist with patient handling.
• Board eligibility or certification considerations as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Confirms patient and exam using history and interview.
• Explains exam to patient considering individual needs and language.
• Adjusts equipment and factors to safely image patients.
• Performs imaging per department protocol and radiologist request.
• Ensures correct labeling and transmission of exams to PACS.
