Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Yonkers, NY to perform diagnostic imaging procedures following physician orders and safety protocols. You will assist with patient positioning, ensure image quality, and maintain documentation while operating PACS and related systems.

Candidates must hold NY and/or CT licenses with ARRT certification, and be capable of HIPAA-compliant patient care. The role offers cross-training across modalities and requires strong attention to safety and

Qualifications

New York State and/or Connecticut License and ARRT Certification.
Maintaining superior diagnostic imaging in accordance with standardized procedures.
Excellent patient and people skills.
Ability to maintain a great knowledge in human anatomy and cross section anatomy, proper positioning skills, and appropriate utilization of protocols and scanning techniques.

Responsibilities

Follow physicians’ orders and regulations to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.
Assist patients to the detector or exam table and ensure proper immobilization for radiologic exams.
Verify patient identification and route studies to PACS; communicate with Virtual Radiologic when indicated.
Maintain daily patient logs and document results.
Cross-train to perform applicable modalities as department needs evolve.
Operate radiologic or fluoroscopy equipment for diagnostic imaging; training provided.
