Job description

Radiologic Technologist – Clinic (Part‑Time)

Hours: 20 hours a week. Shift: Weekday 3:00pm – 7:00pm and alternating weekend 8:00am – 3:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Accurately capture diagnostic images and document consistent consent, orders, and screening information in patient charts.
• Determine appropriate body portion to image and position patients correctly.
• Follow protocols and guidelines outlined in hospital policy and protocol guides.
• Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and operational checks.
• Obtain and record patient history, vital signs, symptoms or complaints prior to physician review and assist with exams or procedures as requested.
• Perform miscellaneous office duties such as answering the phone, scheduling patients, cleaning exam rooms between patients.
• Conduct phlebotomy work as ordered by providers.
• Process images to the PACS system.
• Select proper techniques and accessories to ensure proper exposure.
• Apply ALARA principles to reduce radiation exposure to staff and patients.
• Utilize the Hospital Information System (HIS) to obtain patient information, verify orders, complete charges, and process studies.
• Perform general radiology exams and provide excellent quality imaging.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree (required).
• ARRT – Radiography (R) certification (required within 1 year of hire).
• BLS or CPR certification (required within 90 days of hire).
• Valid IEMA designation (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) is preferred.

Compensation

Pay based on experience: $25.08 – $38.87 per hour. Starting pay $25.08 plus a $2,500 sign‑on bonus.
