Job summary

Dignity Health–Yavapai Regional Medical Center (DH-YRMC) in Prescott Valley, AZ is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and MRI imaging while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will work with Radiologists, managing imaging workflow, positioning, and image quality, and you will use PACS/RADNet/RCO systems. Requires ARRT radiography, CT or bone densitometry credentials, BLS, and high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required or preferred.
• AZ radiographer registration required.
• ARRT Radiography (R) credential required.
• ARRT Computed Tomography or Bone Densitometry credential.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging examinations including X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT/CAT and MRI per protocols.
• Maintain radiation safety for patients, self and others.
• Produce high-quality images with correct labeling (R/L, patient identifiers).
• Operate radiology information and image management systems (PACS, RadNet, RCO).

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others.
• Displays competency performing procedures; follows every step for taking an x-ray (two patient identifier, gel in/gel out, etc).
• Always produces high quality films. Accurately marks radiographs with R's and L's, supine and upright (if appropriate); and assures that patient information is clearly visible.
• Competent in one or more areas of Diagnostic Radiology (fluoro, portables, OR, Litho, ED/Trauma)
• Understands the interrelation and operates the various computer systems such as RCO, Radnet, PACS and other hospital systems.
• Assists Imaging Support in locating films/images, loading CD's, printing reports and assisting physicians.
• Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department forms per protocol i.e. incident reports, side/site forms, etc.

Pay Range

$28.10 - $41.80 /hour
