Job summary

Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center (DH-YRMC), now part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks an Imaging Professional to perform advanced diagnostic procedures and support physicians in real-time guidance.

The role requires IV access experience, BLS certification, and strong patient-safety focus. You will work with the imaging team across a regional hospital network in Prescott area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience performing IV starts is required.
• Completed IV access training or EMT-Paramedic training is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Restraint and Safe Patient Handling training within 6 months is expected.
• Orientation to oxygen therapy and related safety protocols within 6 months.
• Strong medical terminology knowledge and MR/EMR familiarity.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment and ensure safety, reporting defects immediately.
• Verify patient identity before escorting to the scan area.
• Assist technologist with patient positioning for imaging procedures.
• Perform point-of-care renal screening testing as directed.
• Assist with IV access and contrast administration under supervision.
• Document scans and patient data in the EMR as directed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Imaging Professional, you will be a highly specialized and essential member of our clinical team, pivotal in performing advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Every day, you will expertly execute diverse specialized imaging procedures, assisting physicians, meticulously monitoring patients, and precisely operating sophisticated equipment for critical real-time guidance and accurate diagnosis.

A steadfast commitment to patient safety advocacy is crucial. Ensuring patient safety is of utmost importance.

• Checks department wheelchairs and oxygen tanks assuring they are mechanically sound; immediately reports equipment defects to supervisor.
• Ensures correct identity of patient before escorting them to the waiting room or modality.
• Assists technologist in getting the patient into the scan room and positioned on the scan table.
• Performs point of care renal function screening.
• Starts IV for IV contrast injection under the direction of the technologist.
• Scans documentation into the EMR per the technologist direction.

• Successful completion of an approved intravenous IV access training program or
• EMT - Paramedic training program

• Basic Life Support

• Medical Terminology course training within 6 months
