Work Location: Orange, California
Work Shift: Day – 10 hours (United States of America)
The Radiologic Technologist operates imaging equipment to produce images of designated body parts as ordered by physicians. Responsibilities include positioning and instructing patients for radiological or fluoroscopic exams, adjusting imaging equipment, and determining proper voltage, current, and exposure time for each image. May involve administering contrast IV and non-IV preparations. The role primarily focuses on infant, children, and adolescent patients, with responsibilities extending to adults as needed. All imaging staff must address family and patient concerns to facilitate a Family Centered Care approach.
Must communicate effectively in English, work calmly under pressure, collaborate well, and manage multiple tasks. Physical activities include lifting, bending, climbing, and standing, with specific weight and frequency requirements. Sensory and environmental requirements include color discrimination, depth perception, and working with airborne diseases, radiation, and extreme temperatures.
