Job description

Responsibilities

As our Radiology Technologist, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. If you're looking for variety and work flexibility with hours, this position is for you! This is a PRN casual as needed position.

Every day you could perform any variety of imaging examinations such as x-rays, ultrasound, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience. No experience, no problem! We'll train!

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging, including knowledge of the general imaging workflow, patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for accurate diagnosis. You should be able to set and maintain multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, providing accurate deliverables in a timely manner. Self-motivated, ownership of projects, team player, and excellent follow-up and customer service skills are essential. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are also required.

What you'll do...
  1. Perform diagnostic procedures using conventional radiology, including x-rays, ultrasound, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs.
  2. Ensure thorough and accurate imaging techniques for patient positioning according to the imaging order.
  3. Apply sterile techniques and safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
  4. Maintain and troubleshoot radiology equipment to prevent failures, demonstrating mechanical aptitude and confidence.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a Radiology Technology program.
  • ARRT Board Certified in Radiology (RTR).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
