Position Available: 0.6 to 0.8 FTE Radiologic Technologist

Summary

Under the supervision of the OR Manager, the Radiologic Technologist Lead manages the needs of the department, and is specifically trained to assist the professional staff of the Operating Room in the delivery of optimum quality care to the patients while performing quality x-rays per physician orders.

Qualifications:

• ARRT Certification (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
• Experience with diagnostic evaluation techniques and medical imaging equipment
• Ability to perform C-Arm procedures accurately and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances

Responsibilities:

• Radiation safety officer delegate
• Member of the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) committee
• Oversees daily assignments for the Rad Tech eam
• Radiation Safety orientation to new staff
• Radiation Safety annual education to all staff
• Managing the dosimetry account, including maintaining records.
• Operate Large C-Arm
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition
• Follow safety protocols and aseptic techniques to minimize radiation exposure and prevent infection
• Review images for quality and clarity, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely imaging results
• Maintain patient records and documentation of procedures performed
