The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks a Clinical Staff member in Medical Ancillary Support. The role involves operating imaging equipment to provide breast care services and ensuring patient education and cooperation. Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED; Graduation from an approved Radiology program
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Mammography;
Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology;
Must obtain an AR commercial driver’s license within 1 year of hire.

Minimum Knowledge - Breast imaging
Minimum Skill - Verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) Years / Associate Degree – Radiology
One (1) year experience in Diagnostic Radiology Technologist/Mammography
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Operates specialized radiologic equipment to perform high quality breast imaging exams including mammography and breast ultrasounds.
Maintains adequate level of supplies and keeps workspace clean.
Communicates mammography exam procedures to patients and enlists patient cooperation in positioning for radiological examination.
Provides patient education regarding mammography and breast health.
Assists with records management and scheduling appointments.
Obtains patient history and enters into Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Schedules exams and reviews pervious records to determine correct studies are performed.
Ensures exams are completed and images are in Picture Archiving and Communication (PACS) systems.
Enrolls patients in BreastCare Program as appropriate.
Drives mobile mammography van to events; sets up equipment and van.
Maintains knowledge of breast procedures including ultrasound biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, MRI guided biopsy, and needle localizations through continuing education and professional development.
Completes other duties as requested.
