Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology procedures safely and efficiently as ordered by the physician. The role requires maintaining equipment, documenting patient testing information, and supporting a clean, safe work environment.

• Associate degree in radiologic technology or 2 years of related experience.
• Valid state Radiologic Technologist license.
• ARRT registration and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintains equipment and supplies in the department.
• Maintains documentation of patient testing information.
• Completes other comparable duties as directed by the Radiology Manager.
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department

Education

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid state Radiologic Technologist license
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification

Experience

• Two (2) years of experience in a directly related area preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others

Soft Skills

• Effective written and verbal communication

Physical Requirements

• Stand or sit for extended periods of time
• Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning
