Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology diagnostics safely and efficiently as ordered by the physician.

The role requires an accredited degree or equivalent experience, valid state licensure, ARRT registration, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and about two years of related experience. The technologist will maintain equipment, document testing information, and uphold a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or two years of related experience.
• Valid state Radiologic Technologist license.
• ARRT registration and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures complying with regulations.
• Maintains department equipment and supplies.
• Documents patient testing information accurately.
• Assists Radiology Manager with duties as assigned.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Title

Radiologic Technologist

Summary

The Radiologic Technologist performs radiology diagnostic tests safely and effectively as ordered by the physician.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations
• Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department
• Maintains documentation of patient testing information
• Completes other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid state Radiologic Technologist license
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification

Experience

• Two (2) years of experience in a directly related area preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others

Soft Skills

• Effective written and verbal communication

Physical Requirements

• Stand or sit for extended periods of time
• Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning
