Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute LLC (IBJI) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology diagnostic tests safely and efficiently as ordered by physicians.

The role requires an associate degree in radiologic technology, active state licensure, ARRT registration, CPR certification, and proficiency with PACS and MS Word/Excel. Two years of related experience are preferred; this is an on-site role in a medical setting.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or two years of related experience.
  • Valid state Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiology procedures in a manner compliant with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains equipment and supplies in the department.
  • Maintains documentation of patient testing information.
  • Completes other similar duties as directed by the Radiology Manager.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Founded in 1991, IBJI is the largest orthopedic group practice in Illinois. With more than 150 physicians in every orthopedic specialty, IBJI offers care for adults and children from some of the most accomplished and respected orthopedists in the country. Serving northern Illinois and northwest Indiana with over 100 locations, IBJI makes it easy to access care. Our headquarters is in Park Ridge, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago.

Our clinical services include advanced MRI imaging, pain management, non-surgical and surgical treatment plans, rheumatology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, wellness, and sports and sports training. Ortho Access walk-in clinics provide same day care for orthopedic injuries. Comprehensive care offered all in one place enables physicians, therapists and staff to work closely together, so that patients and families achieve better outcomes. Collaborative care is also more efficient. In many cases, IBJI services are substantially less expensive than those provided by large healthcare systems and emergency rooms.

Summary

The Radiologic Technologist performs radiology diagnostic tests safely and effectively as ordered by the physician.

Responsibilities
  • Performs radiology procedures in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations
  • Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department
  • Maintains documentation of patient testing information
  • Completes other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager
  • Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment

Education
  • Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area
Certifications/Licensure
  • Valid state Radiologic Technologist license
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
Experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in a directly related area preferred
Technical Skills
  • Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others
Soft Skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication
Physical Requirements
  • Stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
