Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute LLC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology procedures and related imaging tasks. You will operate equipment, document patient data, and help maintain a safe environment.

The role requires an accredited degree or relevant experience, a state license, ARRT certification, and CPR/AED. Prior Dexa scanning experience is a plus within a supportive radiology team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or two years of related experience.
• Active state Radiologic Technologist license is required.
• ARRT certification and CPR/AED are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiology diagnostic tests as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain and operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently.
• Document patient testing information accurately.
• Perform Dexa scans as needed.
• Assist Radiology Manager with duties and department operations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Summary

The Radiologic Technologist performs radiology diagnostic tests safely and effectively as ordered by the physician.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations
• Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department
• Maintains documentation of patient testing information
• Performs Dexa scans
• Completes other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid state Radiologic Technologist license
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification

Experience

• Two (2) years of experience in a directly related area preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others

Soft Skills

• Effective written and verbal communication

Physical Requirements

• Stand or sit for extended periods of time
• Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning
