Job summary

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology diagnostic tests safely and effectively as ordered by the physician.

Responsibilities include performing procedures per state and federal regulations, maintaining equipment, documenting patient information, and contributing to a clean, safe work environment. Education: associate degree or 2 years related experience; licensure including ARRT and CPR is required; two years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology or two years of related experience.
• Valid state Radiologic Technologist license (RT).
• ARRT certification and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintains equipment and supplies in the department.

• Completes duties as directed by the Radiology Manager.

The Radiologic Technologist performs radiology diagnostic tests safely and effectively as ordered by the physician.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiology procedures in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations
• Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department
• Maintains documentation of patient testing information
• Completes other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager
• Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area

Certifications/Licensure

• Valid state Radiologic Technologist license
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification

Experience

• Two (2) years of experience in a directly related area preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others

Soft Skills

• Effective written and verbal communication

Physical Requirements

• Stand or sit for extended periods of time
• Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning
