Whitman Hospital & Medical Clinics in Colfax, WA is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform general imaging exams using EHR and PACS daily.

You will work with a team and independently, adhering to ALARA principles, patient safety, and QA/QC processes. Requires ARRT R, WA DOH certification, and BLS; CT experience is a plus. 8-hour day shifts with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • ARRT R certification within 2 months of hire.
  • WA DOH Radiologic Technologist Certification within 2 months.
  • WA DOH X-Ray Technician Registration license until Technologist acquired.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
  • Associates degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs satisfactory imaging exams.
  • Uses two patient identifiers when greeting patients.
  • Adheres to ALARA principles.
  • Reconciles images and paperwork in PACS.
  • Cleans radiology equipment and surfaces.
  • Uses PPE properly.
  • Communicates effectively with staff and patients.
  • Collaborates with radiologist to meet department needs.
  • Completes QA and QC as needed.
  • Schedules patients and provides preps as needed.

Some lifting and moving of patients and or equipment required. The position will require the ability to lift, and carry, up to 50 pounds and push or pull over 50 pounds. The position will require bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, reaching overhead, sitting and standing frequently. Occasionally the position requires climbing, kneeling and crawling. The position requires continuous finger dexterity and fine manipulation.
