Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. Performs Radiology Tech II responsibilities with addition of one of the following: interventional, dental, or OR.

Job Description

Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, including:

1. Positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology
2. Operation of radiation-producing equipment
3. Operation of electronic radiology systems
4. Preparation of patient room, equipment, and medications
5. Maintaining adequate supply inventory
6. Explaining examination and procedure to patient
7. Completing departmental documentation

Grandfathered staff at the time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry.
