Job summary

LPC is seeking a Radiologic Evaluator Technical Lead in Portland, Oregon, to be the on-site technical resource for daily issues from the process and inspection staff and assist with process control and cross-training.

You will drive teamwork, ensure quality requirements are followed, and coordinate with molding, tool maintenance, and engineering to improve part quality, tool use, and throughput while maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Certification required or ability to certify within 90 days.
• TATS certification and other certifications may be required based on departmental needs.
• Willingness to adjust shift and perform various jobs to process parts.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly.
• Ability to present shop floor results to customers and engineering.
• Incumbents with excessive absenteeism may be dismissed from lead position.

Responsibilities

• Participate in staffing projections and staff allocation.
• Handle first-line technical performance issues; communicate respectfully with staff.
• Provide fact-based input for performance reviews and measurements.
• Train employees on new skills; coach for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate resources to meet daily throughput and support other departments.
• Maintain harassment/discrimination free environment and avoid favoritism.
• Complete Hazardous Waste Management Training when required.
• Ensure quality requirements flow down through QCM and documents.
• Correct deficiencies and notify relevant parties when a process is variant.
• Facilitate technique card and router changes; assist with root cause analysis.
• Ensure team has necessary tools and documents for inspections.
• Assist with internal and external audits as focal point.
• Set up molding parameters; evaluate parameters for process improvement.
• Review tool designs with engineering for function and quality.
• Work with molding/tool engineers for tool proving and improvements.
• Open and display dies for customers/vendors; assist with tool proving.
• Interface with customers, engineering, and other departments for process walks.
• Authority to correct interpretation calls by inspectors; notify deviations.
• May be assigned to multiple work centers or departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
