Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Radiographer to produce radiographs per PCC specs. You will set up castings, operate x-ray equipment, verify image quality, and maintain Film/IP handling while following safety rules. On-site work supports NDTE/audits and continuous process improvements.

The role involves training others, completing logs, and ensuring all radiographs meet customer specifications and PCC quality standards in our Portland area facility.

Qualifications

• Radiography skills as demonstrated by competent performance or equivalent training/experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read, follow and interpret Technique Cards and manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Set up castings for radiography, determine x-ray needs and exposure parameters.
• Operate x-ray machines to take multiple views within specs and handle films/IPs.
• Inspect and maintain Film/IP, cassettes and related handling practices.
• Manage logs, records, and modifications to Technique Cards; ensure safety.
• Meet production and quality standards and assist with training radiographers.
• Adhere to safety rules and participate in audits (NDTE, NADCAP, ISO).
