Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Radiographer Interpreter to review radiographs, interpret discontinuities, and determine part acceptability or routing for repair according to PCC specifications. You will mark problem areas and sign-off final reports, ensuring proper image management and adherence to quality standards.

The role involves applying technique cards, verifying image sensitivity, and coordinating with engineering for repeat indications.

Qualifications

Advanced radiographer skills demonstrated by completing Radiographer A duties for at least 1 year and Level 2 certification.
Proven productivity with solid quality ratings and limited unexcused absences in the last 12 months.
Strong computer proficiency including Windows OS and navigation through systems; ability to troubleshoot basic issues.

Responsibilities

Review Technique Cards and paperwork to part specifications.
Sort radiographs by view for each part; check image quality and exposure.
Interpret radiographs to determine acceptability or need for repair; mark areas needing repair.
Sign and stamp reports for acceptance of parts per PCC specifications.
Maintain image file management and perform required calculations from blueprints.
