Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking a Radiographer (RAD Tech) to join our Radiology team on a PRN, days schedule at 6200 West Parker Road in Plano, TX 75093. You will support imaging services for a high-volume, trauma-informed facility.

Qualified candidates will have ARRT certification, GMRT eligibility, BCLS and CPI readiness, and prior radiologic technology training. You will explain procedures, position patients, and assist radiologists during complex exams in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology upon hire required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 1 year radiologic technologist experience preferred.
  • GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist required upon hire.
  • ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required upon hire.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
  • CPI - Crises Prevention Intervention within 90 days required.

Responsibilities

  • Explain procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to exam.
  • Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest.
  • Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
  • Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors.
  • Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
  • Maintain attention to details.
  • Process and manipulate images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, make technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed.
  • Utilize proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS.
  • Correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
  • Print laser images from modality or PACS.
  • Coordinate with Centralized Scheduling and other modalities.

Education

Associate's Degree preferred
GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist

Here's What You Need
