Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Radiographer (RAD Tech) to join the Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery in Plano. This full-time role involves 40 hours/week with 10-hour shifts and on-call once per month.

A graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required; an Associate’s Degree is preferred, with 1 year Rad Tech experience preferred. ARRT and GMRT credentials, plus BCLS and CPI training, are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology required upon hire.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 1 year of Rad Tech experience preferred.
• GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire Required And
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire Required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 Days Required

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to exanm
• Checks physician orders and exam requisitions using time-out procedures
• Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as needed
• Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS
• Handles patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and monitor patient during imaging
• Processes patient information, displays proper phone etiquette and transports patients as needed

Education

Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Associate’s Degree preferred

1 year of Rad Tech experience preferred

GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire Required
