Job summary

Atlantic Health System's radiology team seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic X-ray imaging under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will generate high-quality images and help ensure patient comfort and safety.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited radiography program, NJ RT license, ARRT certification, and BLS. 0–3 years' experience is typical, with emphasis on equipment care and patient communication, and a strict adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiography School.
• NJ State Radiologic Technologist (RT) license.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs and provides appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines.
• Demonstrates knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and proper care and sanitization of all equipment.
• Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient queries or concerns.
• Maintains all equipment for procedures, assesses safety, physical, and physiological comfort of patient.
• Monitors need for procedure revisions and coordinates daily imaging procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
